Can you grill steaks on it....or is that nasty? I've heard so many people rave about it and I figured it'd be a good way to grill my chicken breasts at least.

I really like mine. I had one without removable grill plates and it was a bear to clean, so I got one with removable plates - much easier :) The main thing is to not cook stuff too long. It can dry out - doesn't take as long to cook because you are cooking both sides at once. I've never grilled anything with bones either because the plates might not touch evenly. I got a cook-book called "Grill Power" by Holly Rudin-Braschi - she can make grilled cheese sandwiches sound absolutely heavenly!

I love my George Foreman grill. I use it in the winter. Just don't cook it too long. The only kind of steaks I cook on it are boneless strip steaks or a piece of sirloin. Anything with a bone in it will not let the top lid close properly & the steaks cook very unevenly. I bet your gonna' love it. :)

i also use my all the time. i actually wore out my first one and had it for 5 years. i just bought a second one with the removable grills so i can wash them more easily. i have cooked everything from bacon, to hamburgers, to salmon and steak. i love that it cooks both sides at once so i don't have to flip it and fling grease all over my kitchen.

I use it for chicken cutlets, burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, fish, & veggies, but not for steaks. I don't have removeable plates but find it so simple to clean anyway. I just run some water around (it spills into the little river like sides and into the sink), use a teflon safe soapy pad and clean away, only takes a couple of seconds!

Well I did the NY strips on it tonight because we're out of grill gas and it's too windy out there anyway. They weren't fabulous or anything, but they were edible.
I didn't get one with removable plates. It's a big, round, silver Lean Mean Fat Grilling Machine. Darn, I should have made a post before I bought one.

Mmmm I love our GF grill, it makes cooking things easier for me in the summer since I don't like lighting the charcoal grill at the beach (lol)

Some things I've cooked are chicken, burgers, fish, hot dogs, grilled cheese and bacon on it (the bacon was surprisingly tasty)

We have a George Foremen grill. We don't use it much. I grill outside 3-4 times a week, regardless of the weather. I was grilling during the nor'easter that dumped 3 feet of snow. I realize that I need help, and I am making progress in therapy. That being said if I have to eat boneless chicken breasts, they will be marinated and grilled outdoors.

The only time our G Forman grill gets used is when Mark is out of town. We grill probably 3 or 4 nights a week, and when he is gone, I hate the thought of starting the grill just for little ol' me.

I cook anything and everything on it. Sirloin strips, chicken, salmon. Grilled veggies are good, too. (Mushrooms, zucchini, red bell peppers, marinated and slap them on the George. Yum!
