Okay, I tried making some of mine 300. I change it, click okay to save it, and when I reopen it, it still has 72 in the box. Also, the ones you changes, I saved them to my computer and opened them and they say 72.

I don't see that it is saving the info. Is there some other way to see the dpi besides the resize box??? Right clicking and selection properties doesn't show dpi either.

I can't see a way to make this work. Arrrrggghhhh!!!!

Also, from what I remember from graphic arts, dpi is used on the old ink printers (same at the newspaper) where you are photographing an actual print plate. Today they use pixels instead.

I looked it up in google and basically found this description...

For images viewed on computer screens, scan resolution merely determines image size. The bottom line is that dpi or ppi means pixels per inch,

So I'm thinking more pixels means higher quality printing (more pixels per inch).
