Most dogs will do it at one time or another. Labs just do it best.

 

We call it "going humpy backed." Watching 2 or 3 labs go humpy backed at the same time in a small duck club kitchen is a sight to behold! ;D

 

When my Cocker Spaniel used to do it, we called it "turtle butt" because of her stumpy tail. My Golden did it, too, but the Cocker was funnier.

 

Mo used to do it when he was younger and I loved it! It made me laugh hysterically every time....since he's "grown" up, he doesn't do it any more

 

I know I love watching Tal butt tuck...when I engage him in a game of chase, he will always butt tuck! I am gonna try and get a video of that over the weekend!

 

Labs DEFINITELY do it the best. Henery has a little Italian Greyhound pal, and she butt-tucks too, but it's just not the same.

 

I dunno, I think the minpin butt-tuck is quite the sight to behold. So frickin' cute it's not even funny. ;D

That and it's special because it's rare. Baloo butt-tucks all the time. Every day. Peanut maybe once a month or so. She's never been a big butt-tucker. I really cherish minpin butt-tucks. :angel:

i love watching this..keb rips around the yard at top speed i swear his bag legs are 2 feet in front of him when he does this. funny thing, he looks like he LOVES the attention he gets butt tucking..so it does go on for a bit.
i'm going to try to get a picture of it today!

 

I love butt tucking! Abbey does it a couple times a week, usually in the house! We called it the bunny run or happy dance before we learned the "official" name.

 

Yeah we're petsitting my mom's baby maltese for 2 weeks and Ty has definitely rubbed off on her. The other night her and Ty were playing in the sunroom and in she came, in full butt tuck. Quite funny...as she's all of about 2 lbs.

 

We called it "broncoing" before we knew the correct term. As soon as Boo gets the OK from the vet, he's going to butt tuck right out of his pants. ;D

My friends have a beagle who does a crazy butt-tuck. They say "he's gone cracker dog."

 

My friend's Dobies butt tuck but Laura is right, Labs do it best. ;D

Oh how I wish I had my video camera at agility training last night. It's finally getting cool in the evening and Essy was in rare form. She started butt tucking on course, zipping thru tunnels and even jumped a 24" jump mid butt tuck w/o taking down the bar. I have no idea how she did that. Poor Meghan was laughing so hard she couldn't call her back. The trainer didn't think it was nearly as funny as the rest of us.

 

My Hybrid does it, but nothing like Bo does. lol
