When we remodeled the kitchen a couple years ago we put in a zodiaq countertop. They told us at the time to be careful not to let water puddle against the seams. I have a faucet that can pivot from side to side and every so often it gets hard to turn, like there is some kind of build up under the base of the faucet. Any ideas of what i can do to either prevent that or break it up?

The whole unit turns. I guess I could try to take it off. I was just wondering if there was something I could spray under it to break down any build up. I try to rememeber to turn it back and forth a couple times every morning.

I would try and take it off and clean it. If there is calcium/mineral build up it may mean that there is a slight leak somewhere.
