I am so used to being able to get ahold of my husband at any moment and having him respond within minutes, that it annoys the hell of me when he doesn't respond right away. How sad is that? LOL.

I'm texting him asking him a couple questions and I want the answers NOW. I know he's on the subway and his phone is probably in his pocket and most likely cannot hear it in the subway car because of the noise. It just annoys me. Even when I know the reason.

I think I'm too plugged in! :p

LMAO - wanna trade husbands? 99% of the time, Bill's phone is on silent. Pisses me off because if I needed him, or was in an accident or something, I couldn't get hold of him quickly.

Poor guy! He is in big trouble now. Turned off his e-collar. That is what I tell people about my cell phone. Its the e-collar my wife makes me wear.

I'm the exact same way Jackie. I think John's heard, "But what if it *was* an emergency?" about a thousand times.

I get one or two calls a month from my wife during the working hours. I respond instantly as it is uncommon for her to call during the day.

We are constantly harrassed by our employers via cell phone. She works for a visiting nurse company and I work out of town all week. We try to limit our calls to each other. Not because we don't love each other but because we do.

When it comes to texting we are not "all thumbs" therefore we choose to use the phone part of our phones. We are dinosaurs.

LOL I'm the same way I'm so used to being able to get ahold of him whenever I need to if I can't I get twitchy ;) It's very rare though he carries two cell phones (personal and work) and I have his office number if it's an emergency I can get through normally.

He's the same way though if he calls and I don't answer he calls back every few minutes until I do answer worried something happened to me.

My hubby actually had the text function on his phone shut off. He stridently does not wish to learn to text. He also has some hearing loss he refuses to acknowledge or do anything about and often he cannot hear the phone ringing. And it is on the loudest setting. Comes from a lifetime of using power saws I guess.

I can never reach him on his cell phone. I don't ever bother calling him during the day.

I've told the kids, text me if you want me to know something, but if you need an answer, expect a call, I don't text, I have a size 11 hand (That means 8" from wrist to tip of middle finger and 4 1/2" accross, not counting the thumb.)and these buttons are made for about a size 7 hand.

Denny and I have txting disabled on our blackberries, but we PIN message (via the blackberry messenger). We mostly just bbm now, hardly ever talk! He always has his phone with him so I get impatient if he doesn't respond right away, either. He has big hands and has no problem with the qwerty keyboard on the blackberry. I do admit I poke fun at him if I see him text with his index fingers instead of his thumbs, though!

Me and Jason text a lot while he's at work too (well, we use the blackberry messenger like Allie mentioned). He immediately responds even if it's just one to say "busy" to let me know he'll get back to me when he's got a free minute. What aggravates me is when he's deployed overseas, and I can't talk or text to him whenever I want. All I get is a 20 minute phone call 1-2 times a week that the operator usually cuts off too early. :(
