Last night I came home to find a disaster... ughhh! :yuck:

As soon as Misha comes into heat (which she started 2 days ago) she forgets good manners and pees inside (When I´m not home they stay in my fully enclosed garage area which is uncovered, but with access to a service room if it rains... she peed inside).

So, last night I got home around 10:00 PM all tired after swimming for 1.5 hours, and I found dear Homer pooped in the garage, then Vermont and Homer proceeded to eat the poop, as they always do when they decided to poop at the wrong time and place (they correct place is in my backyard, in the mornings and night, when I can pick it up right away).

Of course, Mr. Vermont who is the finickest eater of dog food proceeded to munch the poop (because the dumbass dog wouldn´t eat his breakfast earlier in the morning) and then he got sick and threw up all over the place...

Ahhh.... the joys of having dogs... My sweeet "well" behaved trio...

Oh, my sympathies!!!

At the Doggy Day Care I work at, there are some Berners and a Lab mix that eat the other dogs poop, and then throw it up. NASTY NASTY NASTY!!!!!

tonight, I found out that while I THOUGHT Journey and Flint were eating grass or sucking up deer poop, they were eating dog poop! ICK! Why did they get into that habit?

The only thing I know is that´s it is the nastiest habit I´ve seen. The one I haven´t been able to correct in 3 years with Homer, and now Mr. finicky Vermont also likes to munch it (and even worse because Homer eats his own, but Vermont eats Misha´s and Homer´s).

The most I do is make sure they poo every single morning in the back yard, I pick it up right afterwards, then at lunchtime they sometimes go and then at night when I get home and after feeding dinner. But it is on these "strange" days when they do it and I´m not home that I´m screwed, finding that "oh so good poop breath smell on them" and the remainings of their "lunch"... no kisses Homer thanks :(

It is a horrible habit. Mr Erns is teaching Tessa the art of poop dining. icky..icky. Only thing to do is pick it up as soon as they do it, but of course they do it when you don't see it or it is dark...then the poop breath...ewww..eewww..then if you are lucky the vomit...or burb in your face. Or Erns party trick to bring it in and eat in front of guests. Oh my they are disgusting.

LOL at least I see I´m not the only one having these problems...

We need to have a support group... "Traumatized owners of poop eating Labs" or TOPEL for short

I have never had a crap eater, until Ms Nola.

I don't know if its a sign of my wonderful training abilities, but when the others have their 'moment' Nola comes running to me and sits for a treat.

Gives me ample time to clean the yard! Love it!

My pigs are usually very good at going in the mornings after breakfast, sometimes at noon and then at night before sleep. But it is in these rare occassions that they decide to go in between hours while I´m at work that they serve themselves with such "delicacies"... LOL

LOLOL. I like that...one thing...It is not me that is traumatized. It is the visitors who have let them lick their faces then see them do it. lool. Erns was outside with a friend one day and she came running in saying.."Oh my god..oh my god.. I just saw him do it. I knew he did, but oh my god I just saw him. " I didn't have to ask what she saw. hahahah.

What's worse is when they eat the poop, throw it up, then one of the other dogs eats that. It's like the meal that never ends.....

Bean is horrified by his poop. He won't even get a ball that has landed somewhere near a previously pooped-on area. Cat poop, though, is apparently best eaten immediately.
