there's nothing like unexpectedly good behavior from your otherwise insane labrador!

I could not sleep last night. Finally moved down to the couch in the tv room where Remy's crate is around 2 a.m. He didn't cry to get out and kindly let me doze til about 5:45 (about an hour earlier than he usually gets up sigh....) when he starting crying to be let out. So I get up and expect his usual friskyness with the jumpin and the mouthing and the darting all over the place "its MORNING!!!" which I usually muddle through in my groggy stupor.

Well this morning? He laid down on the couch and put his head in my lap and let me scritch his belly and chin for a good 10 minutes! Quiet Mama love time with no biting or jumping! It was so nice to have some time to just rub the belly and make some non-crazy eye-contact with the boy.

And then? When I went back to the couch after he had been played with and done his morning routine? He got up on the couch and laid down on top of me with his head on my chest and just watched me. No extra sleep, but it was such a nice moment!

I love my boy!
