Get a mentor -- someone in the field who can tutor you. That's the time honored way of advancing. Don't try to do it all on your own.

What have I got myself into????
I work in a rec facility. I just applied for and got a fulltime maintenance postition.
The only problem is I now have to take the Class 5 power engineer with refrigeration endorsement in order to be qualified for the position. I'm about 1/2 way through the course and it is mind boggling. At 46 years old I hope I'm not too old to understand and absorbe all the information required to pass a 7 hour 300 question provincial exam. I just had to do 2 drawings, a possitive displacement compressor and a jet stream refrigeration system. My brain feels like scrambled eggs.
