Beds, brushes, food, sprays, leashes, toys, you name it. I'm a new dog owner and I wanna know, what products could you absolutely not live without. If you included a pic or a link to show what you are talking about that would be super helpful. To make this effective, what are your top 5 (or more) fav dog products?

1) Zoom groom. Just finished brushing the boys. Love it!
2) Kong toys. Anything by Kong is good in our house. They hold up extremely well! Not to mention the stuffed Kongs are a wonderful way to keep them busy, and safe to leave in the crate with them.
3) Nail clippers. We've been using the guillotine style, but when I use up the blades I have for that one I have the scissor-style on deck. Either way, the boys need their nails clipped a minimum of once every two weeks.
4) Plastic container to keep their food fresh. We leave it in the bag and contain it in the plastic container.
5) Prong collar. We don't leave home without it! ;)

hmm.. I am not a lab owner (yet... three weeks to go!! ;D ;D ;D) but in the process of owning dogs (and other pets!) this is my list!!

1. Burt's Bees lip balm. (dog product? umm.. no.. :-[ but it's at the top of every one of my can't-do-without lists! ;))
2. Baby gates! (for those of us with multiple-type pets.. I have cats, dog, bunnies and a bird... not such a great mix a lot of the time!)
3. "Cesar's Way" by Cesar Millan
4. Dog Whisperer on National Geographic Sundays @ ten!
5. Area to take my dog where we can "get back to nature" so to speak, i.e. conservation area, park, trails, etc. (That's how I retain my (partial) sanity! :-\)
6. A driving desire to constantly update myself with regard to info/education about my pets and their needs.

and always, a strong desire to do what is best for them, and always trying to remember that what they need from me trumps what I need from them, should the two be at odds! ;)

That's it from me!
(disclaimer: Parts of this list can (and probably will) change with the acquisition of an eight-week-old pup... ask me again in a month!)

1. Prong Collar/leather leash/tab leash: Each has made training so much easier
2. Kong stuff: either the stuffed kongs or the floating ones
3. Crate: even though he does not use it anymore, starting off there was nothing better and more important for keeping him safe and out of mischief
4. Food Container: keeps his food nice and fresh
5. Zoom Groom/brush/nail clippers: anybody who owns a lab needs these things expecially the first
