I brought Wesley back to class last night. It was his first return to obed school since before Christmas. After the surgery for my knee injury, I was told NO DOG HANDLING, especially w/the big guys. So once class started up again in March, I was leaving Wed nights without my pal, enduring the sorriest looks I've ever had to weather.

But the knee has been doing really, really well. PT is finished; I've been walking him 2x daily since early March, and I figured by now, we could go to class.

Once she called him, he ran toward our instructor (who he adores), and I SWEAR he almost jumped -- 93lbs of him -- full into her open arms. His tail was whipping a presto tempo and barely slowed down the entire night, and he kissed her enough times that she can skip the Noxema all week. He was joy defined.

He also did a not-so-bad DOR and an absolutely beautiful recall-over-jump. We may start migrating toward that CD yet!
