His life has become such a train wreck.
A store I used to run often had NY/NJ pro sports players in for autograph signings - and of all of the stars we had come in - Jason Williams was far and away the nicest, warmest and most grateful to his fans. He stayed well past his assigned time to make sure that every child who came to see him got an autograph, a picture and some time. That never happened with any of the other athletes - an insufferable bunch of egotists in general.
So - I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for him.
