[Ender's Mom]

Last weekend I went to Madison to visit with my grandma (mom's mom) who was up from North Carolina for a week. We went to the Madison farmer's market (where Grandma talked non-stop about all the pretty flowers/plants) and then went to an orchid greenhouse (where Grandma couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was that so many different kinds of orchids exist)

Anyways... just thought I'd share some pictures.

I must say that I had Tom pictured as a surly little emo kid (think pete wentz), not a tall gawky kid in a plaid shirt. He's pretty handsome.

About three years ago my grandma and I went to a gem shop and they had orchids too, we spent more time looking at them than the gems! So for her birthday I sent her an orchid. She's almost 90 and loves having something to dote on and take care of (hates animals). Now she has six or seven, and LOVES to tell people about them. Maybe a future gift idea for your grandma?
