Does anyone else own one of these? How do you get them clean? I vacuum but all kind of little pieces of grass/dirt remain in the grooves and I can't for the life of me get the rug clean. I have taken it outside and tried to hit it against deck rail but it is a long runner and near impossible for me to get it over the rail.

Take it outside and hose it down with the hardest spray from your hose. You may have to hold it vertically and spray if you can't get the crud out of the grooves with it laying flat.

Thanks! I was thinking that might be the only way to get it clean. I am going to have to wait for a nice sunny day--which we haven't had in a month!!

Use a can of compressed air when the mat is dry? Like the stuff you use to clean your computer keyboard?

I have several of these things - it's something that "seems" like a good idea, but very difficult to clean. And quite frankly, the dogs or people make maybe 2 steps on them, and then it's off to dirty the regular carpet anyways!
