That blows my mind. When we lived in Florida, one Saturday a month several of the area vets would get together and spay and neuter an amazing number of cats. Our vet (at the time) told us that once they were set up and ready to go, they could do a cat in 9-10 minutes, before moving on to the next one.
Good luck today! Out of the frying pan, into the water. Eh?
Last year at our vet's while having blood drawn on Abby and Yeller, I got to watch a cat get spayed, a chi get neutered and a bunny get spayed - all in the same amount of time it took 2 student techs to draw blood on the girls. It was totally cool.
Made me wish I'd gone into animal health care instead of cooking. But hey, I still got to know anatomy and cut things, just in a different way!!
