This is crazy!! I don't even think the increase that is supposed to be coming is even in affect yet!! CRIPES!!

I think we are going to have to start doing w/o "extras" if this continues!!

Good bye Dish!

Shel, check the usage on the bill to see if went up alot. It could very well be a mistake. I've gotten a crazy high bill a couple of times and when I called them about it, they had me read the meter to them and found out it was an erro. Check it!!

Totally agree. That happened to us once too. I called, and they said the bill had been estimated. It had been estimated high because the weather had been hot, and they assumed people were using their air conditioners more. They lowered it after I read the meter to them.

When it happened to me - both times - they were actual readings. Where ours is located, they have to stand on the outside of the deck and read it from about 5 feet away. Human error!

I called and they said they read it not estimated it. If I would like for them to re-read it incase someone wrote the number down wrong they would. I will be charged $12.00 for this.

I will read it myself.

I thought this was going to be about obedience :)

Sorry your bill went up. It does suck. Mine has continuously crept up despite all the things I do to not use electricity. It's ridiculous. I would love to generate my own power and get off the grid, just don't know how.

Ours went up $50 last month after all the hot temps! I was a little surprised. It's been really nice weather wise for the past 2 weeks, though...highs in the 80s and the AC hasn't been running so much at 78 during the day when we aren't home. I'm hoping it will go down a little now. If you haven't been having high temps or doing anything unusual, you might want to make sure your AC is OK.

We have a $68.00 delivery charge. If I shut off the main breaker I still would have this bill after using zero, nada, no electricity. It's not like I can go pick up the electricity in buckets. Seriously large screwing from National Grid. They don't even kiss me first.

So now wouldn't be the time to mention mine was $29 for last month? I also live in an apartment that's only 700 square feet, but I also have the benefit of living in a very wooded area so that helps a lot during the summer.
