Okay so you have music on your other iPod that's not on your computer? there is a way around it, but you can't directly move music from one iPod to another. You have you get the music from your old one onto your computer and then transfer it to your new one. Its a PITA but it is possible. There is no driver with it. My iTunes is the newest version. I don't see any way to put my music from my other iPod on this one and it won't accept my wifi info.
I'm frustrated and about to throw it out the window into the piles of snow.
Does your computer recognize it in iTunes? If it does, it should come up with the option to make it a drive.. Have you tried reformatting it for shits and giggles? Sometimes that solves problems.I have my music backed up on my EHD. The other iPod was made into a drive on the computer so I could save the music by copying and pasting. This one doesn't show up on my computer as a drive. I don't see the option to make it drive like the other had either.
The iPod touch does not have a hard drive and you cannot mount the touch on the desktop as with other iPods.
You need a 3rd party applications such as Yamipod.
Google iPod recover songs.
