I rented over the weekend. Didn't like it...too slow and if I hadn't already read the book, never would have gotten the movie. I should know better than to see a movie after reading the book.

I actually liked it /better/ the second time than i did the first.. in the theatre, i was so shocked at the shitty makeup on Carlisle, that it distracted me.

I still think the acting was terrible - no. edward. don't. leave. me. please.

But i like the story enough to enjoy the movie.

agree, the acting was terrible. bella was a klutz and insecure in the book, but kristen stewart made her a blathering idiot as well.
her "dramatic pauses" and stuttering made me want to slap her.

i liked it, but not nearly as much as the book.

We just watched it yesterday. My 11yr old and I. She liked it. I wasn't that impressed.

I hate that Kristen Stewart is Bella. Totally wrong actress choice. As a matter of fact, I wasn't impressed with any of the actor/actress choices. Although, as the movie wore on, I did like Robert Pattison as Edward.

Their faces weren't white enough. And several times, Edward blushed....and lets not talk about the beard stubble! And the sounds they made when they moved fast were cheesy. Denny cracked me up when he'd get up to do something--he'd go WHOOOOOSH like he was a vampire, lol.

Overall, though, I did like it. I liked it way more than I thought I would.

If you watch the makeup gets better towards the end, then the make up comes back heavy, you can definitely tell they didn't film in sequence. I thought the director was horrible, some of her shots made absolutely no sense at all. You can tell they were trying to show time passed, but unfortunately when they are laying on the bed in the same clothes you don't get that at all. Helloooooo... they hung out together a lot longer than the movie led on. If I hadn't have read the book I would have thought someone was smoking crack and that movie would have tanked big time. Personally I'm glad to see a new director on board, I hope he doesn't go for the same cheesey factor!!

Ive watched it twice since I bought it. I enjoyed it more than the theater. Sure, it has bad casting, makeup, and acting. But having read the book, I can overlook it and just enjoy the story.
i agree.. i will for sure watch it again and i'm glad i bought it.. i think the memory of how much i loved the book, really carries the movie.

Now a friend of mine i've been harping on to read said book, hasn't.. but saw the movie and loved it..i was shocked.. i hope watching the movie first doesn't take away from reading the book after.

Never read the book.

Saw the movie over the weekend and liked it, although it was a little slow at times, it did get better near the end.

Also watched Quantom Of Solace(James Bond) - Now that was a kick ass movie!
