Okay, so I have a turkey roll with stuffing, and all the fixings for us for Christmas Day. It will take at least 3 hours for this thing to cook. BF bought us all tix to go see Sherlock Holmes on Christmas Day, and the movie starts at 4:30.

So, my question is, can I cook the turkey roll in the morning, and then we eat it for dinner after the movie? Obviously it would have to go in the fridge, and we would have to warm it up again before dinner. Or is this a bad idea?

My first turkey for BF's family and I'd rather not make us all sick!! lol!

It's turkey (dark and light meat) without the bones. This one has the stuffing rolled right into it. Looks like a football. lol.

Yes - that would be the way to go. And I'd slice it before warming it up. (slice, put it back in a pan, add a little gravy COVER the pan and warm at about 250 degrees). If you don't slice it, it will be dried out by the time you have it adequately warm in the center.

I'm not very good at warming stuff up, I have a tendancy to dry it out. If it was me, I'd put it in my roaster and cook it while I'm at the movie.

Does your oven have a timer for starting and stopping?

I'd advise the timer thing if your oven can do it. Set it to start before you get back.
