trimming the dogs nails is such an ordeal at our house. all three dogs give me so much trouble that i'm seriously considering paying a professional to do the work. usually the dogs are very well behaved and obedient, but when it comes to nail time, all hell breaks loose.

i made this video so you can all see what i'm talking about.

penny, the JRT, is especially bad when it comes to nail time, because she tries to interfere with the lab's nail sessions. i have to literally push her away while at the same time focus on getting the labs to cooperate with me.

the music is vivaldi, but i can't remember specifically which piece of vivaldi. i added the music to the video soundtrack in post production. there was no music playing during the nail trimming itself.

The expression on Luke's face while waiting for his turn is priceless.
Your pups are actually very cooperative and calm. Consider yourself fortunate.
My old Lab Jake was the worst. As soon as I would grab paw and clip the first nail he would howl like I was killing him. I gave up and took him to a groomer.
I was standing at the counter paying the $5.00 with Jake sitting beside me. As I was telling the clerk that he would be a problem I heard clip clip clip. I looked down and one of the groomers was clipping away, no problem. I do believe Jake even lifted on paw as if to say "Here you missed one."
I was actually embarrassed. Why he would let a stranger clip his nails and not me I never figured out.
Duke is no problem but like your Taylor, he prefers to lie down when I tell him to sit.
