Has anyone trained for a half marathon? I am looking into it but would like to know how long the runs are over a week (and the build up)?

I currently do about 5km a day. Would like to change things up and maybe do a long run on the weekend (say work up to 10km). And I want a personal challenge.

Runners World DOES have an interesting program, found it!

I have done a few 10km but not in awhile, that would be my first goal and I won't try to hit it the first time. Most 1/2 marathon plans are over 12wks, and I definately don't plan to get there any faster even if I do start training!

I want ot try a long run on weekends, but for the first few weeks that will be building UP TO 10km, not gonna kill myself (cuz then I have to STOP running for awhile which defeats the purpose). IT's a good time as Rocky can't really come with me very often, he completely shuts down in the summer, so other than cold days (like today, 16 degres) I'll be going solo
