Today was not unlike most Saturdays...except I had no place to go or schedule to keep except for a few errands. Most of it I spent watchin football and jus playin with Tal. No training or anything. Just a nice relaxing Saturday. Today (and Tal) has taught me to slow it down...enjoy each stage of Tal's life and make it count. Sometimes the best thing isn't necessarily how well behaved they are (not that behavior is unimportant!) but to just be together.....here's a sample of things...

lots of belly rubs and squeals of glee
chased a dog barking we couldn't see
chased some butterflies
explored an area of the yard we haven't before
I figured out it is vitally important where you pee and poop no matter how badly you have to go
those little smiling lab eyes
were really curious about a big rock
watched a ballgame
played with a new toy
just sat together in the grass and enjoyed the warm sunshine
discovered a pine tree

Seeing things thru the eyes of your Lab puppy can make a good day spectacular!

I was thinking the same thing as Rowan sat and watched a flock of Canada Geese fly overhead when we were out!
I'm going to have fun and not have so many expectations.... she is young... I want to have lots of fun with her.. there will be lots of time for 'training' in the weeks ahead! ;D

That is so nice.  Believe me, the time with a lab goes far too fast. Glad you are slowing down to enjoy each and every moment!

Missing you, my friend.
