another newbie question, sorry :

my last show premium had rally starting at specific time (1 pm).

if this just lists the whole show starting at 8am, should i assume that rally is also starting at 8 am? the show grounds that this is being held at is HUGE- it's being held at Purina Farms, so there are definitely multiple rings.

Does that mean i'm going to have to be somewhere at 7 in the morning?

Is this a premium or a confirmation? Premiums only list the show hours (8-5 for example). Your confirmation will tell you your actual class time. Occasionally a premium will list an afternoon start time if there are 2 shows (one am and one pm) or if Rally is only offered in the afternoon (maybe the obedience judge is also the rally judge).

it's a premium. when should i expect the confirmation?

the show is not until the 12th.

If you entered, you will get your confirmation about 5 days before the show. You can find the class times on line about a day or so after the show closes if this is one of the major superintendents (the smaller, private supers don't always have websites).
