and I am a wreck. Having to leave him at the vet this morning did not impress me at all and I keep thinking...what if something happens to him (I know, foolish thought). Anyway, 5 o'clock cannot come soon enough for me when I can pick him up.

So did anybody notice a change in their lab's behavior after being neutered? I keep hearing..."oh it will calm him down a little", "he will not mark as much", "he will not have the dominance issues towards other dogs"... blah blah. Did anybody else notice a difference???

Come on 5 o'clock

We brought Ty home from his appointment on Friday. So far so good, he's 100% back to his normal self (actually he was almost completely back on Friday...it was done on Thur. morning).

Haven't had enough time to get a good idea on how "different" he is...but he may not be at all.

he will be fine, I was nervous when I got murphy neutered, and then they make me sit there for like a half hour before they bring him out so that doesnt help. Once he came out though all my fears were gone, he was pulling on the leash like the little phsyco dog I know and love. he might have calmed down a little bit, but not much. About that time he started sleeping through the night but I dont know if the neuter had to do with that or not. You will feel alot better when you pick him up, I would be worried too no matter what anyone else said. I kept thinking that murphy is just going to sit there depressed and not want to do anything, but I actually had to keep him in the crate alot that week so he would recover, because he didnt slow down at all.

good thoughts for morgan!

no significant changes in behavior in our boy after his neuter. same wonderful temperament etc, still marks on walks :) , but a definite DECREASE in sniffing out/looking for the girlies in heat!
