We don't have central air but do have a water evap cooler. It helps to put some humidity in the house. The desert SW is very dry and hot in the summer. We have ceiling fans in every room and lots of tile on the floors. We also keep the windows and patio door open most of the time to let the air circulate. The girls both seem quite comfortable and lay on the tile (much cooler) when they are warm. In winter we keep the house at 68 during the day and down to 64 at night. The girls drink lots of water because we have such low humidity year round. (So do the humans). ;)
