It has been a long time I have told a Mess Pot story, so here we go.....on Saturday four members of my chapter's DAR Board came over for a meeting....ladies ranging in age from 50- 75......hubby took Zeb with him so he would not bother the ladies.....Zoe got to stay because she behaves well.

As fate would have it, the meeting went longer than hubby anticipated. He came home and let Zeb AKA The Mess Pot have the run of the house. Meanwhile my board and I are in our den working on this report. One of them said what is that noise upstairs; I replied must be Zoe. Boy was I wrong!

Down the stairs we heard the feet, into the room a yellow blur dashed, darting up to each lady goosing as he went. As he dashed around the coffee table with me in fast pursuit, I heard giggles and squeals of laughter. Finally I chased him back up the stairs and was able to shut him upstairs. Talk about love 'em and leave 'em!

When I came back, one of the ladies laughingly said, " I bet you don't take that one to pet therapy, do you?"

That's my boy! The Mess Pot! Or as we now know him as The Mad Gooser!

ROFLOL....that is so Zeus too...he's horrible at it OMG he embarasses me all the time. Even though I warn people (especially men) they don't take me seriously until they are bent over from a nose in the nuts. He does it to women too he doesn't discriminate. ::)

I'm picturing the scene and having a chuckle.

Years and years ago when i had my first chocolate lab, in about 1984 we were walking in a natural beauty spot near our home. There is a residential home for the elderly close by, our lab was about 10 months old, his nose picked up a scent and he rushed inside the old folks home knocking tea cups with his tail and ignoring every command i gave.

I was embarrassed and apologetic, the old dears loved him!

Thanks for bringing back a happy memory~ :)

kate2jays, I love your story! I can just see it now. The only thing lacking on Saturday when he made his mad dash was the music from the Indiana Jones movies or maybe better yet, ,music from The Mask of Zorro. ;)
