Never laughed my ass over a roll of cheese rolling down the hill.

In reality the couple that came is last, it was all the girls fault! Why the hell was her boyfriend carrying her on his back to the check point!

Though the Hicks would get lost in the Alps and end up coming in last, just might happen next week!

I love it too. The hick wife already bugs me though but her husband might just pull them through. I don't have a favorite yet. I only get the watch this in Spring, football messes up all the programming on Sunday night in the Fall.

And how ironic was it that the team with a deaf contestant was the one to first find the bathmat, a task that hinged on **hearing** the yodelers?

I haven't watched AR for many seasons now, but these teams were so compelling that I decided to sit down and watch this time. I'm so glad I did! I cried at the end! There are quite a few really likable teams this season....at least so far.

I didn't like the hick husband ripping on his wife for being slow. You didn't go into the show blind - you knew she wasn't a speedster. Don't tear into her for limitations you knew about going in - you couldn't have expected her to suddenly have the ability to sprint.

Someone explain the physics of that bungee jump to me - what keeps you from smacking against the dam?

Agreed.

But by the same token, knowing that Mrs Hick couldn't run and that she'd be up against these powerhouse twentysomethings who can, what on earth would fuel her desire to even be on the show? Like somehow, this edition of TAR is going to give away a mil to a couple who, for one half, running represents a major challenge??

We wondered the same thing. Perhaps the diving board was out far enough to ensure that you couldn't knock yourself dead?

All I know is that I do NOT know if I could do that. Even watching the footage made my palms sweat. I fear I'd get out on that diving board and be unable to make my leg muscles tip me forward for gravity to grab hold. Either that, or I'd be on the underside, clinging on with my fingernails embedded 3" in.

I have NEVER wanted to bungee. At the "Who has nerves of steel?" clue, it would have gone straight to Jason just in case it was something like that.

This **** is concave in two dimensions. The surface of the **** below the platform is actually behind the top so that if you drop straight down from the top you would pass the midpoint before you hit the surface. In other damns you couldn't do that ( e.g. Hoover).
