My bet is the announcers won't even come close. To the natives it's pronounced New Aw-Luns or even N'Awluns. Definitely not New Or- Leens. However I am sure that Philippe II, Duc du Orleans must be spinning in his grave over how we pronounce it but I also bet he is pulling for the Saints.

I pronounce it "I'm sorry you had to lose your first Super Bowl."

Nawlins is the way we say it here in Lower Alabama. While it's not as big as Auburn University playing the University of Alabama, the fact that the Saints are in the Super Bowl is a pretty big deal down here. Plus the fact that the Saints didn't leave New Orleans after Katrina when they could have, it's a very big deal. Don't discount the Saints.

University of Alabama boys put NFL players to shame...ROLL TIDE!

Up in N. AL I think most people just say New Orlins....or slur it more to Norlins...

I still like watching college (especially SEC) football much more than the NFL.
Me, too.

After signing day today, they also had the #4 and #3, respectively, ranked recruiting classes.
The U of Florida had the #1 class -- GO GATORS !!
