This past weekend we were all taking a nap on the bed when Duke started making strange noises. It was not a snore but more like he was hyperventilating. Very short quick snort like sounds. It woke me up and I thought he was having trouble but when I woke him up he looked at me like I was a pain in the rear for disturbing his slumber and then he just re-curled and went back to a silent sleep. Never happened again.
Just wondering if you have ever heard of this.

Lexi doesn't really snort, but she does sometimes make this high pitch woofing noise. She's not been any sort of distress, so I have always assumed she is dreaming.

She'll also twitch when she sleeps.

Abbey does it sometimes, along with little leg movements, like she was walking in her dream. I always wake up and poke her to make sure she's okay. She doesn't appreciate it, but you can never be too sure!! ;)

I bet it was a dream, but if you were napping, maybe you didn't see any other movement?

Toby makes reallly weird noises when he sleeps because he snores and then he'll make weird barking noises sometimes, too.
