will lay or sleep.

This is kind of spin-off of Jackie's thread about Buddy sneaking under Bill's desk.

What is the strangest place your pupper(s) like to lay or sleep???

For Lexi it would be the black asphalt driveway in the scorching heat of any given summer day. I often wonder what on earth is in that head of hers when I find her sprawled out on the scorching hot black asphalt driveway on a 95 degree summer day. I swear she should think, "okay, i am covered with dark brown fur. it is 90+ degrees, so maybe laying on the driveway is not such a good idea."

After laying there a bit, she'll come motoring into the house panting like crazy. All I can do is shake my head & think "Silly girl stop laying on the hot driveway in the sun & you might not be so blasted hot!"

Bogey will lay on the steps. We have two small steps going down into the living room.

He has to drop (or they just dont fit ) his two legs on that side to hold himself up.

It doesnt look comfy, but hes always there.

None of my dogs sleep in any really strange places. But when Sally was a puppy, she used to sleep on the ledge up under the coffee table with her head hanging off on the floor. Looked very uncomfortable!

Here's a video called The Sleeping Puppy I made of Sally sleeping in different places when she was a little puppy. It's pretty cute.

But the strangest sleeping place I've seen is Sally falling asleep in her water dish....literally in the water! I shot a little clip of that. You can actually see the breath from her nose as she breathes into the water. Here's that clip.

Aside from Bill's desk, Buddy will also lay on any piece of cloth on the floor. When I do laundry and sort the clothes, he will lay on the piles, moving from one to another as I take them away and wash them. Drop a jacket, shirt, afghan, anything on the floor and he's on it.

Bauer loves to sleep in a chair in our living room, not weird . . . except for the fact that he likes to lay there on his back. His butt is against one arm, his shoulder is against the other and his neck gets bent at a 90 degree angle. He looks so uncomfortable, but he does it all of the time. When DH sees him, he rolls him over to lay on his side. I took this picture on Friday (crappy cell phone pic).

Finley likes to sleep next to my side of the bed at night. Problem is there's not much room, so he squishes his back end up against the wall and his head and shoulders under the bed. I have bizarre visions of the bed collapsing and crushing him.

He also likes to squeeze between the couch and the rocking chair. I have to be very careful about rocking it now in case I crush some part of him.

Kira used to dig all the flowers out of my long rectangular planters and then sleep in the dirt left behind. That wasn't so cute.
