I considered doing it ourselves with the help of a few friends that we've poured concrete with over the years (real good friends help you move and wheel concrete ;D). I just thought for once it'd be nice to go to work and come home and have the job done.

here are some pictures of our patio we had done 2 years ago. We love it. It still looks exactly the same. Ours is 14x24.

My mom has it at her new house and it looks awesome. Really, really nice. I want to have it at our next house for sure.

My parents have it on the front walk and on the back patio. It looks exactly like flagstone. It looks great.

PrincessZoe, Thanks for the pics. I told Lori the quoted price and her jaw hit the floor. Little does she know, that I'm going to go ahead with the stamped and colored patio. We spend countless hours in our backyard and something "plain Jane" wouldn't be right.

Thanks Tom, it's a lot less expensive than pavers and there is not much upkeep. I wouldn't do a deck again unless I had to.
