Dozer is doing great with his (at home) training. He has only had 5 peepee accidents in the house since we got him (and hubby and I have whacked ourselves with that rolled up newspaper each time
), he recognizes his name, he comes when he's called 85% of the time (obviously not enough, but a good start) and he sits when told. Also, he's awesome about his food dish; anyone can handle it, and he just acts like "oh you want some too? Go ahead!" He sits and waits for the okay to eat too.
He is a leash holder (ugh) so I've bought some bitter apples to see if that helps get him to stop. Otherwise when I'm trying to walk him around the yard on lead every two or three steps I'm taking the leash from his (very soft) mouth and telling him no. Right now he doesn't have a favourite toy he'd prefer to carry while he's on the leash or else I'd give him that. Patience and consistancy ... he'll catch on.
