Sure, jump to conclusions. You had me pegged as just a nice sheltered girl from the suburbs and now I've gone and thrown the Tenderloin into the mix.

Ok, I am from San Anselmo, but the husband and I lived in a great two story apartment in a really secure highrise apartment building on O'Farrell Street. We used to look down at the busloads of Japanese businessman getting out (off?) in front of the Mitchell Bros. Great apartment, great views, dicey neighborhood but it was fun. And now I can spot a shemale from a 100 feet.

OK, guilty as charged. Maybe just because I find the neighborhood skeezy (but boy are there some good cheap restaurants--ever been to Shalimar?).
