Today I came back from work walk into the house and see Buck sitting on his bed. Of course he realizes its me and comes running over wagging his tail. I walk further into the house only to see 3 pieces of what looks like shredded paper towel and a piece of the cardboard roll in the middle. So I start to look for the rest of the roll. Well it is nowhere to be found.

HE ATE THE WHOLE ROLL :mad: I am more mad at myself than him for leaving the roll out. I didn't think he'd shred it AND eat it whole :( I keep a roll near the door to wipe his muddy paws with. He has never touched it before today. I even thought this morning hmmm maybe I should move it. But did not thinking well he has never touched so its ok. well I was horribly wrong :(

He doesn't appear to be in pain. He pooped fine during his walk this evening. But then again it probably just hasnt made it through his system yet.

Anyone experience something like this? I am not fully panicing yet...I am expecting he will pass it through. It wasn't a whole brand new roll of paper towel. It was almost towards the end of it. *sigh* I am just going to go back to crating him or gate him in a smaller area instead of giving him access to my whole first floor and definitely make sure that all he has access to is his water bowl and a kong.

ugh I am really PO-ed at myself :mad:

If I were you I'd call my vet to see what they recommend. My sister's dog ate an unused tampon once so we called and they suggested to feed her oil regularily because of the obsorbtion rate of the tampon. The oil was to help keep it moving.

Well, at least he's getting some fiber in his diet! :)
haha! for reals!

Called the vet first thing yesterday morning. They weren't terribly concerned since he is still eating and drinking just fine. Was told to just keep a close eye on him and make sure he drinks a lot of water.

What a goober!! :eek::rolleyes:

I sure hope he is okay! Those paper towels and especially the roll were just too yummy looking to resist, I'm sure he didn't mean to be naughty! :D

Oh no! Don't you hate it when the voice in your head is right, and you don't listen to it? :D

Tell me about it! I am still kicking myself!

Looks like though all of the stuff either passed or got digested. He pooped normal the last two poops :p *knocks on wood*

Paper Towel rolls sure are irresistable :D

He didn't leave much evidence. Only 2 tiny pieces of paper towel and 1 tiny piece of cardboard!

But yeah now I am thinking I should snapped a couple of shots of that!
