I thought it was tabouli, maybe it has different spellings? Any time I've had it around here (we have a surprisingly strong Lebanese community), its had waaaay more green stuff (parsley, mint, green onion) and bulger in it... Not like Shanna's pic at all. Maybe we're weird though. It wouldn't surprise me.

I have had many different variations. I live in the middle of the Persian Capital of North America and there is even variation from restaurant to restaurant. I don't think there's a right way or wrong way. Just like the spelling. Tabouli is a common phonetic spelling in North America.
