Just to let you all know how my baby is doing. The Prednisone has helped to lessen the pain to where she's able to sit and lay down without pain, is finally able to 'assume the position' completely instead of dropping poop from a near-standing position (although she does not push, just sort of lets things fall as they may), and is drinking and peeing at least double her usual amounts. Poor thing is also ravenous, always looking for something to eat, but has not attempted to counter-surf or get in the trash yet. If she wasn't still in some pain, I think that would be next! I will be so happy when she is back to normal.
Tomorrow is the big day. :-\ I take her in at 8:30 am, surgery is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
Prednisone is great, but it is hard watching them be so hungry all the time. So glad Shadow is feeling a little better and will send a prayer and good thoughts for the surgery tomorrow.
I will post as soon as I know anything tomorrow. Surgery isn't until 1:00, so I will be spending the day pacing. I have to bring her in between 8:00 - 8:30 am. They called just before 8:00 pm to remind me of the appointment, as if I could possibly forget about this huge black cloud over our heads!
Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. I have given it to God to take care of, because there sure isn't anything I can do about it.
