Got seven of them here, al older ones that do one or another things better than others, except the cheap Brother that I paid $69 for in 1996. Does just a straight and zig zag stich, I'm guessing it's sewn at least a couple hundred miles of thread. Have abused the heco out of it, sewn several layers of canvas with it by staring it by hand, still works fine, if it shelled tommorow, it's been worth it. A rebuild on a motor for one of my real old ones would cost more than that.
The other one I use some is a New Home about a 100 or more years old, but I get carbon points cause it's foot powered. Great though for real heavy stuff.
