Lotta courage from Mr Ebert. I always preferred Siskel, though, as a movielover.

It's so interesting - the comparison to living without food vs living without dining. My best friends from college set aside one night a month for dinner just to make sure we stay connected. The food is completely secondary to the company.

I so despise going to a restaurant alone (like when travelling on business) that I would either a) get room service and continue working or b) ensure that I had a book w/me.

Interesting. Sad, happy, introspective...interesting.
he has a true passion for movies and is such a beautiful writer. He's coping with his situation with a lot of heart and dignity.
Well said -- but it sounds like he's found a way of replacing the dining with friends (by using his vivid imagination and blogging about it).

I always preferred Siskel, though, as a movielover.
AHH! No wonder!! I always preferred Ebert!
