I'm so sad today. My Mom and Dad's dog Murphy had to be put to sleep last night. She was 15 and such a major part of our family. I can't imagine going to their house and her not being there. I'm so sad for my Dad too, she was his best bud. He must be so lost this morning. Here she is with my grandson and Libby.

Yes, they'll definately get another one. They've never been without one or two or three! And they are definately going to a shelter or rescue and getting an older dog. They're both almost 80 and know that it would be hard for them to train a puppy. The bad thing is they've always had big dogs, mostly shepherds until Murphy came along and I can't seem to talk them into a smaller dog. I don't want a big dog to pull them over on a leash.

i am hearing more and more dogs making it to 15 these days; which is a good thing, but still such a loss for our families.
