over a year ago, i bought this dog bed.

i really liked how plush it was.
now the dog bed is flat like a pancake. sorry, no pic.

i had an old, unused matteress pad, so instead of throwing it away, i folded it and stuffed in inside the dog bed cover, under the original padding, and now the plush factor is back to 100% or more. :)

the mattress pad looks sort of like this:

the egg carton shaped foam is fairly cheap, and i think Big Lots sells them for around $5, and i remember seeing them at wal-mart and target, too. you could use memory foam, too, but it's a lot more expensive. or you could buy poly stuffing from a craft store.

for another dog bed, i increased the plush by inserting old, unused pillows under the original dog bed padding.

Thanks for the tips! Great idea.
My mom has lots of extra pillows. Now I know what we'll be doing w/them.

Five years later it's finally time for me to re-plump the Costco bolster bed. I might try the pillows under the original stuffed pouch trick.
