It could just be her adjusting. If I remember correctly, Bauer didn't eat for several hours after we brought him home either.

Have you been moistening the food? Puppies that young usually start out with some water added to the kibble to moisten it. How did the breeder feed her? I suggest calling and asking her -- and possibly getting your pup checked by your vet.

Like I said in the other thread - Nutro is frequently recalled. Not what I would feed. It could be that you have a bad bag of food.

Also - have you seen a vet yet? You should get your puppy to a vet as quickly as possible following picking her up from the breeder. Did the breeder do any vaccinations?

shes had all her vaccinations for her 6-8 week period and shes due for a vet visit in about a week so ill know something soon as i get paid and can afford to take her since this post shes been eating a little bit more than usual but hasnt really had much of an appetite and her stool has been sort of runny from the soaking of the food im guessing but it has me a little bit worried cuz her ribs are starting to show :-(

Do not delay - get her to the vet. If she is not eating and losing weight and has loose stool she could have Parvo. I'm sorry you are short on cash - but proper puppy care requires a vet visit within days of acquiring a new puppy. If you can't afford that then you might not be ready to own a puppy, Tim.

eta - Parvo is a deadly disease - don't delay.

Parvo has a very distinct smell to the stools. They will lose appetite, Diarrhea, and can lead to death. You shouldn't Delay Tim. Get this puppy to the vets Please. ASAP!

though she has been eating on a regular schedule she only eats about half of what i give her then finishes it off later and her appetite is not gone she eats her treats and the carrots i give her i think it may be the dog food im giving her because everything else seems to perk her appetite but just to be on the safe side im going to take her to the vet tomorrow thanks again everyone
