Reba has been under the weather for the week. See a couple of threads in health and nutrition and thanks to those that responded.

I took her to the emergency vet this morning and her blood tests show a couple of things going on. Perhaps pancreatitis and a low platelet count. She goes back Monday to retake the tests.

Reba is not her usual self, but I thought she felt better yesterday.

Reba is on antibiotics since she had a slight temperature at the emergency vet's. And I have been fixing rice and chicken or rice and rinsed beef for her meals. Monday morning she goes to the regular vet for another round of blood work. I am not sure just what will be next if she 'flunks' those tests.

The vet asked me if she could have gotten in any rat poison and I can't imagine where that could have happened. We do walk almost every morning along our country road and she occasionally finds trash in the ditch. And about twice a week we go to the nearby park where she could have gotten into something, but certainly it should not have been there.

I will be so glad when she is back to her sock-carrying self. And her silly little curl around my feet so she can end belly up for tummy scritchies.
