Have just returned from seeing Poppy's Orthapeadic specialist and he is quite encouraged by Poppy and his seems to be quite reluctant to do a hip replacment as he seems to think that she will not need one! We have to return in 3 months and he will review her again.

They put her on a treadmill to measure her gait, and bless her she is now full of grey metallic spots that they put on her for the computer to measure her!! The are like cellotape (but slightly thicker) and we are not able to get them off her - i can see some bald patches appearing if we pull them off!!

All the good thoughts sent must have worked!!

Great news!

Fanny was diagnosed with HD at 18 mpnths old, she is now 4. I have her on Ascriptin 2X a day for her arthritis. We were also told that surgery wasn't necessary then. She is very active and when she has had enough she lays down for a bit then up she gets to get involved again.

Good luck with Poppy, it is so hard to see them in pain and not enjoying themselves as much.
