My 3 girls and I hike the hills surrounding our home daily after work, and on the weekends. They recently discovered the carcass of a winter-kill deer and have decided to re-assemble the critter on our property. Each hike brings another deposit into the deer bone bank. The dogs emerge from the brush looking proud as can be, with a miscellaneous bone clamped tightly in their jaws.

The corner of our property now contains the following bone collection: 2 hooves with fur, foreleg, rib cage, back bone, jaw bone, back leg, a chunk of hide and one mystery bone. Ugh.

The bone pile will be bagged up on garbage day, and I'm sure the girls will be sorely disappointed. Until then, it's pretty funny watching them prance around with their treasures!
