his favorite place in the whole world is in my closet under my clothes....well every time he stands up all the hanger fall off the rack, then he lays on them, then they are full of hair, then they have to be washed and yes he opens the door by himself

It's the denning instinct and it smells like mom in there. You might want to try the no slip hangers to keep the everything from falling off the hanger when he stands up.

What could possibly be more fun than laying atop a pile of clothes!! My boys don't lie on my clothes and they're always full of dog hair anyway!!

Simple solution - raise the bar the clothes hang on about 6 inches!
