This is what you look like when you run agility with corneal ulcers. My poor Ruger boy. He was miserable last weekend. Good news is, I am seeing a good deal of improvement this week so far with the medication change. He is keeping his eyes open much more. There is a wetter drainage, but I think the meds burn a bit. Hopefully he'll be in much better shape to run next weekend. He's such a trooper though, and he didn't complain much at all. I love him :-*

ulcers hurt

no way brody would have played stupid human games with two of them!

what a trooper

edited to add:

your dogs amaze me - I only run my non agility obsessed dogs when they are in perfect condition - I really think running a dog that is sore or hurt must turn them off the game a bit and I only want dogs who THRILL in the glory of making mamma happy running

edited to add "brody" as I missed a word earlier ;)

I felt terrible running him, but he didn't seem all that concerned and he enjoyed himself despite how lousy he was feeling. That's one thing I love about this boy, he gives it his all and really tries for me, and he's happy all the time as well. I think he just loves me too much sometimes.

During our entire Snooker run I kept telling him, "Poor boy, you really don't feel good do you? We're almost done, let's run and have fun!" We (I) really wanted to finish up his titles, and that's the only reason I went ahead and ran him. That, and my vet was tenting with us, so I felt we pretty much had our bases covered with her being there as well :D
