Yea. I don't know what I was thinking. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world though. :)

OK, well this is weird. I was browsing my Golden Retriever forum just now and came across a 4 page thread, raving about Tomiskaway Kennels in Georgetown/Halton Hills, Ontario. From what I read, they seem pretty reputable. Apparently she doesn't have a website since she's on dialup, but someone posted her number :

Here's the thread if you want to read more. It's an older thread, but someone just bumped it :

Kel, I've got a really awesome Golden breeder who has a boy in Henry's Open class on Monday nights... I don't know what her kennel name is, but I'll find out for you on Monday. She's got a breeding planned in the very near future, if it hasn't happened already.

not sure how far they are willing to go...

there is a breeder directory. it also appears they "vet" breeders linked there (see above about health clearance policy)

I know Sue from http://www.lynwoodgoldens.ca/ - great dogs, she competes in hunt trials (she helped me find a class for Rocky last year) and in conformation, she is invovled in our local therapy association as well. I have met her dog Callum, amazing dog. She does not necessarily breed often but would be a great resource as she is active in both venues

We got my Golden from Tomiskaway Kennels, but that was in 1986!!!

Don't know anything about them other then the name, I was only six at the time, but I do know she was an awesome dog! I am pretty sure that she was only six weeks when we brought her home, but hopefully they have changed things over the years. She did have arthritis when she got older, but she lived to 15 1/2! Hope your friend finds somewhere good.
