Ontarians - curiosity question about license plates

I keep seeing these "personalized" Maple Leaf license plates, and it's driving me nuts. I cannot figure it out. They are typically like this:

(Maple Leaf) 11TO32
(Maple Leaf) 71TO82
(Maple Leaf) 22TO71

What does this mean? or stand for? It's making me mental, is it a secret code with a secret message for Maple Leaf Fans? and why don't they have a Star Wars one? That could be fun!

But seriously, have you all seen the VE37781 ones? I kept seeing so many VE3 plates that finally one day I asked some guy in the parking lot, and found out they are for short wave radio users. That's cool.

What the heck are these secret maple leaf coded ones though?? Anyone? Anyone?........ Bueller??..........

Not Canadian - but could it be game scores? 81 to 67??? we won over the (blanks)?

I think it should be a law that you can't have personalized plates unless the general public stands a chance at figuring out what the heck it means!

I know!! But what's the dang 11TO32 stuff stand for?? That's what's making me crazy!! LOL

Hi,
I have part of it, the TO means Toronto, i know that because some of the plates have ML which stands for Maple Leafs and the Ottawa plates have SE in the middle standing for Senators, hmmmmmmmmm now the numbers?

Here's another thought about the numbers, maybe the first one is the drivers fav player and the other number is the passenger's fav player?

You'd have to arm wrestle me for it first. But actually, since we are in seperate provinces, we'd be fine. I really wish they'd never gotten the flu - they were just not the same team after that.......

I've totally wondered about the Leafs licence plates too!! (and given up!)

Okay, kinda off-topic, but how about the fire department ones? 2 numbers, then FD, then 2 numbers? Is it their fire house and the year they joined the FD??
