So I had an on-call for work today and I just called in to see if they needed me for my shift and they do If I didn't have to go in we were going to see "Wild Hogs" and then out to eat dinner but noooo now I have to work!!!

Oh and the other day I wanted to go in for my on-call and of course they didn't need me *sigh*

I used to hate the on call shifts when I worked at LTD 2. I mean they don't pay you to be on call and whenever you make plans they would call you in, and days you need the extra cash they wouldn't need you. One girl called the corporate office and they said you didn't have to call in and can't get fired for not calling in. So we all stopped calling in and they kind of got rid of the on call shift except for X-mas time.

At VS they told us it is to be treated as a shift : we have to call in 2 hours before which is a pain especially if I'm already out and about
