I suck at finding things online. Can someone post a link here that details the new proposed stimulus package? I've heard a little of this and a little of that, but I want to see the whole thing.

But remember, that's not the Obama stimulus package, it's the proposed package passed by the House Dems without a single Republican vote. Monetary legislation like this must be originated in the House and, after passing there, moves on to the Senate where it will be much modified then go to a conference committee of the 2 for a tentative agreement, then back to both houses for final approval.

Pres. O. has already said he has no pride of authorship in this House bill and that he expects solid Republican support for the final bill.

When he signs it.....he owns it.

He can't distance himself from it.......he has wined and dined the Rep to get them to vote for it.

It will be interesting how many Republicans he does get to vote for it. but you have to ask why does he care if they join or not.....he doesn't need them to win the vote.

He just doesn't want it to be known as his if/when it fails.....LOL Gotta love politicians.

It is a refreshing change from the past 8 years when the president didn't give a rat's ass about what anyone thought and didn't even try to get people to work together.

Working together would mean doing more than listening (or caring) it would mean actually acting on some of the input from the other aisle. Apparently he did nothing more than welcome them to his "side"..........LOL.....hardly bipartisan. Only for show.....business as usual in washington.

The way it is shaping up he is going to get what he wants.......if it is a disaster he will sink with it.

As it should be.

No, if it is a disaster we will sink with it, just like the last 8 years. Obama, like Bush will be ok either way.
