I'm curious about how many of our non-US JL members are in countries (or areas of that country) in which you have a switch between Standard Time and Daylight (aka Summer) Time.

(I think most areas of Canada have North-South time zones that match those in the USA, n'est pas?)

In Canada, while most areas switch between a Daylight Time and a Standard Time, aren't those date/times different than the ones recently adopted during G.W. Bush's administration?)

Many (most?) countries near the Equator do NOT switch since there is little change in their length of days between summers and winters.

And for our friends South of the equator in OZ and New Zealand, since your seasons are the reverse of ours and you've just entered your Fall, do you (or will you soon) switch to a Standard Time from a Daylight or Summer Time?

Yes like Rosie said we "spring forward" and "fall back" an hour.

On 29th March we'll jump forward one hour into British Summer time, then on 25th October we'll go back an hour onto GMT.

I'm so looking forward to the lighter nights for walking the dogs, it's such a rush this time of year by the time we get in from work it's already dusk.
